Google is coming out with a button similar to Facbook call “+1″. According to Christian Oestlien, Google’s Group Product Manager for Ads, +1 will appear on all Google search ads by default. However advertisers will be able to opt out a submitting this form. Oestlien said that early tests showed there was a lift for ads that featured +1 annotations. He anticipates that advertisers will be pleased with how it affects their response rates and CTRs. He added that early anecdotal feedback on the program from advertisers was positive. Today, Google announced a new AdWords feature to control if your ads show or not show based on the searcher’s location or the searcher’s location intent, or both. Under your campaign settings, under the standard location options, click on the “advanced location options.” Then you will have a “Targeting method” and “Exclusion method.” You can then define there how you want to target by location. http://bit.ly/ftLK1X

All Things Digital reports that Yahoo is in talks to buy Flixster, a “movie social networking” site. According to Kara Swisher, several companies have made bids for Flixster with values between $60 million to 90 million. Flixster, a San Francisco-based entertainment aggregator start-up founded in 2006, acquired Rotten Tomatoes last January from News Corp’s IGN. In August 2010 it bought BuddyTV, a community for television fans. Flixster bills itself a “social movie site” because it lets users share and discover movies, as well as find users with similar movie tastes. http://bit.ly/dQyKwC
